Emetzyakuri of Totsuka Toys likes to make weapons that fire unconventional projectiles. This laser-sighted, pump-action gun fires playing cards. It uses rubber bands to launch individual cards with enough force to embed them into a foam board from a distance. They also sell DIY plans for the gun and made a card-throwing machine gun too.
